Adventures in Faith

Harrietta Basile, Director of City Ministries, Horizon Church

Faith is a substance. Faith is not hoping God can, it is knowing He will. Do you remember the childhood game, 'Mother May I?'  Just like that game, life as a believer is a culmination of little steps and giant leaps of faith. This workshop will encourage you to stand in the promises of God, walk in faith, encounter His love and learn how faith and love are tangible realities!

Made to Lead

Danny DeLaRosa, Award-winning Speaker and Leader, Chief Sales Officer

The Bible is filled with examples of how we were made to lead. Leadership is a get to, not a have to. The blessings that result from answering the call to lead are life-changing for those who answer 'yes'. Leadership is not a title; it is the result of serving in an honest, thoughtful way that utilizes wisdom to set a course. This workshop will help you gain skills to elevate your thinking and view things as God intends. You can reach your full potential in glorifying God with your talents!

Counterfeit Christianity

Toby Bowker, Associate Pastor, The House Modesto

Some of the best actors in the world are Sunday morning Christians, constantly trying to win a 'Spiritual Oscar' for their portrayal of the perfect person. Life is messy and so are we. It's okay not to be okay. If you truly want to experience extraordinary love, you have to learn not only to accept your weaknesses but also to be brave enough to embrace them. You can choose to walk out a cheaper, counterfeit form of Christianity or come to this workshop and decide once and for all to live a vibrant, authentic Christian life!

When Heaven Hits Home

Myles and Katharine Weiss, Authors, Pastors, and TV Hosts

Learn to love, laugh and lean into the new chapter ahead of you! This workshop will illustrate how God can take ordinary people and give them extraordinary, abundant life. We will draw on Hebrew Scriptures, New Testament teachings, and valid psychological research. You will acquire specific tools to improve communication, conflict resolution, and greater intimacy.

From Pain to Power

Josh and Liana Knudsen, Youth Pastors, Horizon Church

In the middle of growth and momentum in their ministry, Liana suffered with debilitating sickness that affected her ability to function as a mother and pastor. Through the turmoil this brought for both Joshua and Liana, they fought to keep their faith in the middle of it.  Through the struggle, they each found a deeper love for Jesus and emerged victorious, propelling them into a season of growth and new authority in Christ. Come discover the life-changing lessons Holy Spirit revealed to them as they navigated this journey from pain to power!

Walking in the Spirit - Learning to Keep No Record of Wrongs

Brian and Marcia Ridpath, Math Professor, NCAA Consultant

The Bible gives a beautiful illustration for married love - a love that keeps no record of wrongs. How do we cultivate and nourish a love like this in our marriages? We use the gifts that God has hand-selected for each one of us to reflect His character - His Fruit of the Spirit. By walking in the Spirit, we can awaken to a deeper love for one another.  Join us as we laugh, be real and explore the role spiritual gifts play as we grow in grace.

Living Out the God-Dream in Your Heart

Kristen Velasquez, Worship Leader, Mortgage Loan Officer

Woven within the very fabric of your being is a God-dream specifically designed for you. You were created on purpose for a purpose. When you begin to live out the God-dream in your heart, you will step into who you were meant to become. You will do what you were meant to do. God has entrusted each of us with a dream, and He not only wants us to discover that dream, but He also wants us to live it out. Now is the time for the dreams in your heart to become a reality!
